Welcome to Maycee Academy

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Maycee Academy, a vibrant primary school where every child is nurtured to reach their full potential in a rapidly advancing, technology-driven world. Guided by our vision, we aim to empower our learners with the functional, attitudinal, adaptable, and knowledge-based skills necessary for success in modern society.

At Maycee Academy, our mission is to foster the development of a critical and innovative mindset, equipping our students to thrive in an ever-changing and competitive global landscape. We are deeply rooted in the Unhu Ubuntu philosophy, which promotes integrity, equitable resource sharing, and harmonious living. This philosophy is at the heart of our operations, shaping a community that values fairness and rejects corruption.

Our values—commitment, achievement, integrity, national identity, respect for humanity, and kindness—are the guiding principles that define our school culture. With our motto, “Custodians of a Unique Secret to Success,” we aim to inspire a relentless pursuit of academic excellence.

In addition to our rigorous academic curriculum, Maycee Academy offers a dynamic co-curricular programme that caters to a variety of interests. This spurs from diverse sporting disciplines to cultural and community-focused initiatives. We believe in fostering the holistic development of our students, nurturing their teamwork, leadership, and sense of responsibility.

History of MayCee

Our Story

My experience has been in the theory and practice of Inclusive and Primary Education. Contact with leaners spans from being a primary school teacher at mainstream schools, a specialist teacher at special schools, a lecturer and counsellor at teachers’ colleges and at universities in Zimbabwe.

Currently I am the director of MayCee Academy.I have been instrumental in offering a number of programmes in Education, writing papers on contemporary issues and offering papers at several conferences locally and internationally.

I have initiated strategies for enhancing the performance of exceptional learners at primary school level. I have a passion for supporting the under privileged in society. MayCee tries to accommodate all learners of varying developmental challenges. We pride in our expertise in giving individualised tuition to deserving learners and servicing the community according to presenting educational needs that arise.

We meet the criteria of being an inclusive institution, thus, leaving no one behind. We endeavour to develop the child to their fullest potential and have always realised commendable results over years of being in operation.
